Synopsis

And all Matt thought he'd have to worry about was a killer hangover...

When Matthew Hastings finally has the opportunity to travel to the place that he's dreamt of visiting for years, he won't let anything stop him.

Not the ghost stories.

The hauntings.

Or even the fact that his pessimistic girlfriend has threatened to break up with him if he goes. In fact, it only makes him want to go more.

Then when he finds out that his childhood crush, Kelsey Hendricks, is going to be attending with his closest friends, nothing will stop him from leaving.

Now is his chance to tell her how he really feels. But will he get the chance? When a series of events traps the group underground in the tunnels of New Orleans, they soon discover...

They're not the only ones in the tunnels.

And they must find their way out by sunrise, or they will all be submitted to the horrors of...

The Dying Game.

My Thoughts - Story
I fell in love with Sara’s books when she asked me to read and review Amber Alert ---- at the time for her being 19 years old and writing about something very complex and mature, she quickly became a special author to me.

Now with her talent and Taylor Henderson’s – they have put together another nail biting, edge of your seat thriller. Reminding me of Saw and other horror movies I’m so addicted to, I gobbled this one up.

Yes, the beginning is a bit slow and the characters are a bit immature and silly but once they get into the tunnels – it seems like their personalities suddenly grow up and from here it becomes a speed read dying to find out who makes it out alive.

These two 20 year old authors have a great future ahead of them – with a bit of content and editing problems to clean up – I can see them climbing to the top of the horror/thriller genre.

Re-Cap
How would you handle getting stuck in the underground tunnels in New Orleans? What if a psycho had set up traps and riddles along the way that could either result in death or the entrance to another tunnel?

Read about Matthew and his friends fighting for their lives underground the city streets and cemeteries.
